Review 1: A Cry in the Night By Mary Higgins Clark
This is classic Mary Higgins Clark, copyright 1982. I've read this novel several times, and recently picked it up again as simply something to read before bed.
It's a story of supposed love at first sight gone horribly wrong. Jenny meets a promising young artist, and he wisks her and her two young girls off to his farm in rural Minnesota. A dream come true, right? Turns out he's not only horribly jealous, he has a very dark side. I can't say much more without giving away the mystery.
The only downside about reading this book before bed is that it is so engaging, I often stayed up way later than I intended to read just one more chapter!
